Butterflies

In the last few weeks I've gotten to know a young woman.  She has several physical problems that cause her to shake when she walks, and she looks very small and young, more like a little girl than nearly an adult.  However, her outward appearance is the least of things about her that is most unique.  Her spirit is so sweet and strong and I am inspired every day by her bravery and enthusiasm.  We all need to put less measure into the outward appearance and "disabilities" of those around us and look instead for the strength of the heart.  I hope you enjoyed Butterflies :)

Birth of Tomorrow

I believe that the future is completely reliant on the children.  A child myself, I find that it's nearly impossible to be taken seriously by a large majority of the population simply because of my age.  If I was taller, with a few more lines around my eyes and years under the belt, my voice would be heard.  Instead, the concerns and fears and problems and solutions and strengths of the youngest generation are ignored.  The future is in the hands of the children, and tomorrow exists only the way that we will make it.  I believe that it's the responsibility of everyone everywhere to protect and teach and learn from children in order to create the best future we possibly can.  I hope you enjoyed Birth of Tomorrow :)
